Ayr tighten their grip


Ruaridh Jackson Helped Ayr to another win
Ayr tightened their grip on Premier One with a 28-0 win over Edinburgh Accies at Raeburn Place.

Ayr's tries came from Stuart Fenwick, Gordon Sykes and a double from Florian Martin.

Pat MacArthur came off the bench for Ayr, the day after helping Glasgow Warriors to a win over Leinster.

Glasgow Hawks and Watsonians fought out a 16-16 draw on monsoon conditions at Old Anniesland.

A Grant Strang try and a conversion and three penalties from Stephen O'Donnell gave Hawks a 16-6 lead at half-time but the Edinburgh men fought back in the second period to share the spoils.

West Of Scotland slumped to a 22-6 defeat to Boroughmuir at Meggetland. West's points came from two penalties by Conor Davis.
