The 63-12 loss to high-flying Currie wasn't the ideal result to finish with but the former-Scotland and Glasgow skipper's two tries - the second scored in the last minutes of his senior career - saw him sign-off in style.
Gordon was given a standing ovation by the Burnbrae crowd, who also bid farewell to departing coach Johnny Beattie and lock Guy Perrett at the end of the game.
Gordon told the Sunday Herald: “West has meant so much to me. It has given me so much, all the way from 1994 to now. When I came back here four or five years ago, the club was in the Third Division, but it’s now in good shape again.”
