The West of Scotland product turned out for the Warriors in the 2010 pre-season games against Dundee HSFP and Sale Sharks. During the 2010/2011 season he joined Glasgow's group of elite development players.
The former Lenzie Academy pupil has played for Glasgow and Scotland at age-group level.
His elder brother, Calum, also played for Glasgow U16 and U17 and their father, Johnny, played for Hillhead-Jordanhill. Murray captained Scotland U18 in their opening international against France at Philiphaugh.
