![]() Glasgow defensive line is kept under pressure (Photo by J Thomson) Sale Sharks completed their second pre-season victory in a week over Glasgow with some conviction at Edgeley Road last night. The contest was effectively over by half-time, the home side scoring three superb tries, and preventing their own try line from being breached. England stand-off Charlie Hodgson put them in front with an opportunist drop-goal, but Colin Gregor's penalty brought Glasgow level. Hodgson then repeated his feat, paving the way for the burst of touchdowns. Skipper Jason Robinson set up the first for lock Dean Schofield before wing Steve Hanley and Mark Cueto also scored. Glasgow put up sterner resistance in the early stages of the second half, but Sebastian Chabal broke through to score a fourth try for Sale. Glasgow's frustrations were underlined when Gordon Bulloch charged over the line, only to nudge the ball forward before grounding it. Chris Mayor and Robinson added more Sale tries to rub salt in the Glasgow wounds. Match report from The Scotsman
