The Magners League match between Leinster and Glasgow Warriors has been postponed because of a frozen pitch.

The match, which was to be played at the Royal Dublin Society Showground, was called off after an 11.00am inspection on Friday morning.

Magners League leaders Glasgow had already travelled to the Republic of Ireland for the match.

From the BBC:

"Glasgow Warriors will now be discussing the late cancellation of the fixture with Magners League organisers, Celtic Rugby, as a priority," they say.

The match, which was to be played at the Royal Dublin Society Showgrounds, was called off because of a frozen pitch after an 1100 GMT inspection on Friday morning.

"The Warriors, who travelled to Dublin yesterday, did so on the advice of Leinster officials who expected the game to go ahead as planned," said Glasgow's statement.

"A number of travelling fans have also been severely inconvenienced."

Let's hope they show some guts and get the compensation they are due.

On a similar point its intresting to seem that Cardiff tried to sign James Hook. As he has another year on his contract to go they offered the Ospreys a transfer fee to take over his contract.

Did we get anything from Dan leaving mid contract to Cardiff or did we let him for hee-haw?

Not sure about the transfer fee situation or even if "we " will get any as aren't the contracts dealt with by the SRU?

If money changes hands "we" should have it to use in the player budget and "they" (Edin) sould not benefit!

The contracts are SRU owned but you would think if any fee was given then it would go to the Glasgow budget.

To be honest I doubt there would be a fee as Ospreys did not want to lose Hook, but it appears we were keen to get rid of Dan.
