Ali Price went over for a double Glasgow Warriors continued their pre-season preparations with a training match against Aberdeen at Rubislaw this evening.
The match was the culmination of a programme of activities in the north-east including an open training session and coaching of local youngsters.
There was a late change for the Warriors after Fraser Brown picked up a knock and was replaced at hooker by Kevin Bryce with Finlay Gillies providing cover from the bench.
The Warriors ran in nine tries in the match that was played over two 30-minute periods.
Glasgow used all their substitutes during the match played in front of a crowd of over a thousand spectators.
After the match, Gregor Townsend said: “I’m really pleased with the whole two days here and the way our boys played tonight.
“We started really well with a couple of good tries, but it was a competitive game and they got stuck in in the second quarter, and made it hard for us at the breakdown which has given us things to work on.
“We needed this. The guys will now be feeling a bit of pain and be blowing more than they have, even though training has been hard, and now we can look forward to our game with Harlequins on the 24th.”
