Glasgow Warriors 71 - 0 British Army

Friendly match played at Scotstoun on Friday September 25th 2015 | No comments

Junior Bulumakau scored a double
Warriors ran out comfortable winners in tonight's friendly match with the Army at Scotstoun.

Glasgow tries came from Junior Bulumakau (2), Scott Cummings (2), Fraser Lyle, D’arcy Rae, Hugh Blake, Ali Price, Chris Fusaro and George Horne. Rory Clegg and Gregor Hunter shared the rest of the points with the boot.

There was also the worrying sight of full-back Glenn Bryce being stretchered off in the first half.

After the match, Gregor Townsend said: “We were really pleased with the game. We put a lot of effort in, in the first half, especially in our kick chase and supporting the ball carriers. Those areas were at a high level and it was through that hard work that the tries came.

“The players executed their skills very well in difficult conditions.

“It was really pleasing to see new Warriors out there tonight, especially guys who have come back from injury like Gregor Hunter and Sam Johnson.

“We were pleased with how the combinations worked, even though we made a lot of changes during the match.”
