KO 3.15 at Cardiff Arms Park
Sunday 21st October
Live on BT Sport 3

Champions Cup stats:
- Glasgow have won 1 and lost 7 of their games when they been away from home in the Champions Cup for Round 2.
- That solitary win came against Montpellier in the 2014/15 tournament.
- There have been 8 occasions when the Warriors have lost both of their opening fixtures in the tournament - a sequence which makes progression close to impossible. Sunday's game against Cardiff Blues is a must win.
- Glasgow have 1 win and 3 defeats from their previous encounters with Cardiff in the Heineken Cup, including losing both fixtures at the Arms Park.

Glasgow Greetings:
No significant debuts this week but a return to the number 15 shirt for Tommy Seymour for the first time since May 2017.

Matchday Milestones:
Game number 190 for Robert Harley as he continues his progress towards a double century that will hopefully come up later on this season. Petrus du Plessis will of course add another week to his record as the oldest player to feature in the Champions Cup for the Warriors - 37 years and 144 days.

Warrior to Watch:
It's good to welcome back Sam Johnson following injury - the inside centre hasn't featured at all during this campaign following some bumps and bangs in pre-season. The former Queensland Red is a handy distributor in the 12 shirt but he also picks excellent angles of running and can breach the opposition line himself.

Sam also had the best tackle percentage of any of Glasgow's centres during 2017/18 and it's that complete package that he provides which has earned him a call-up to the Scotland squad for the Autumn Tests.

Glasgow's Track Record...

...against Welsh sides in the pool stages of the European Cup:

9 wins (7 at home, 2 away)
13 losses (4 at home, 9 away)

Most recent meeting in Europe:
13/12/13 Scotstoun Stadium Report

Glasgow Warriors 7
T: Ryan Grant
C: Duncan Weir
P: none

Cardiff Blues 9
T: none
C: none
P: Rhys Patchell, Leigh Halfpenny (2)

Even though it's less than 5 years since the game at Scotstoun just 6 players return from the Glasgow squad on that day - Tommy Seymour, DTH van der Merwe, Robert Harley, Ryan Wilson, Chris Fusaro and Nikola Matawalu. On the Cardiff Blues side the turnover has been even higher and only Kristian Dacey, Ellis Jenkins and Lloyd Williams played in the last European encounter with the Warriors.

Officials:
Referee: Luke Pearce (Eng)
AR1: Matthew Carley (Eng)
AR2: Jonathan Healy (Eng)
TMO: Graham Hughes (Eng)

This will be the third time that Glasgow have been refereed by Mr Pearce. Back in 2014 he hammered Montpellier in the penalty and card count at Scotstoun (although the Warriors still couldn't take advantage to pick up the try BP they were looking for). He was also the man in the middle for the home encounter with Munster two seasons back when the Irish side were ruthless in taking grabbing the game's crucial try following a yellow card for Stuart Hogg.
