Sean stayed on to discuss the match with some supporters after the match.
Glasgow hung on to win 26-25 in a nervous final 10 minutes at Hughenden.

It could have been a very different story if Borders' kicker Gareth Morton had hit the target with three penalty goal attempts in the closing stages.

The game was punctuated throughout by the whistle of referee Paul Adams with Glasgow in particular finding it difficult to cope with the official's interpretation of the laws.

Glasgow coach Hugh Campbell said: "I was happy to hear the final whistle. We gave away far too many penalties."

Glasgow began well, and after both sides had swapped penalties, scored a great try in 14 minutes. Andy Wilson made ground on the right before the ball was spun across field for Sean Lamont's try which Dan Parks converted.

Things took a turn for the worse for Glasgow when Sean Lamont was sin-binned and Borders' game came together. Dan Parks had a clearing kick charged down and from the resulting line-out Morton came into the line to touch down under the bar and convert. Glasgow had pulled the score back to 16-16 by the interval thanks to two more Dan Parks penalties, with Walker sin-binned at the second.

Borders began the second half brightly but could only claim a Clark Laidlaw drop goal before Glasgow scored their second try. The Borders scrum was twisted close to their line and picked up and drove over for Dan Parks to convert.

Twice Morton cut the margin back to one point with penalty goals but Glasgow missed a golden opportunity to make the game safe with a try from a shallow kick to the right by Dan Parks. Neither Andy Hall nor Joe Beardshaw were able to gather the ball before it bounced into touch-in-goal.

Moffat">Stuart Moffat was sin-binned for a late tackle on Morton although the officials missed the retaliatory punch from the Borders full-back, and with Glasgow desperately hanging on Morton missed three opportunities - one from the last kick of the game - to give Borders the victory.

It was a hard fought victory which wasn't very pretty but man of the match, Sean Lamont, and Rory Kerr stood out for Glasgow.
