Kevin Tkachuk is a potential new signing for the front row
Glasgow has been linked with Kevin Tkachuk, the Canadian International prop, who played with Pertemps Bees in Birmingham last season.

Kevin, who has already been spotted in Hughenden on a visit to Glasgow, has just finished his studies at Oxford University. He has played for Oxford in the varsity matches from 2001 to 2003, and scored a try for them against Australia. Today's Scotsman reports that Kevin is in signing talks with Glasgow.

The 28 year old represented Canada in last year's Rugby World Cup, and scored a try. He now has 23 International caps, after making his debut against Tonga in 2000.

Former wrestler and gridiron player, Kevin is noted for his strength and mobility. He weighs in at around 19 stone, and is said to be able to run the 100 metres in 11 seconds. (vm)

Just what we need in the scrum. A big, strong guy who can also shift. Hope to see Kevin next season.

I agree Jen - isn't that what everyone's been asking for? Some muscle for the forwards...

Well I know you've both been spreading the word.

I think you have a very good catch with Kevin. I feel he will be sorely missed at Bees.
