Glasgow Warriors will clash with the Border Reivers at Netherdale on New Years Day
Glasgow Warriors will first foot the Border Reivers when they make a New Years day trip to Netherdale in the new Celtic League season.

The game will kick-off at 4.00pm - just the thing to clear the head after Hogmanay celebrations.

Glasgow's fixture list is looking a bit clearer with four Friday night matches, two Saturday night matches and four Sunday afternoon matches at Hughenden.

While there are quite a few positive things about the deal, I must admit I'm disappointed that so many games are on a Sunday afternoon. I understand it might work out better for some folk but I just don't like Sunday games - or drinking on a school night.

Alan Lorimer reports it very differently in today's Herald. He says games will be split between Saturdays and Sundays...

Hmmm...Wonder if the SRU told the fans who have already handed their cash over for season tickets that?

Oh well another Celtic League season, another headache! ;o)
