September 18, 2005Official update on Euan Euan's condition is improving The SRU have issued a press release on the condition of Euan Murray following last night's incident, which saw him taken to hospital.
Euan, who sustained a head injury in last night's 32-10 Celtic League victory over Munster at Hughenden is today stable in hospital and his condition is improving. Euan was seen by the consultant this morning and although he is better, he will be kept in hospital for another night for further observation and review by the consultant again tomorrow. A further update on Euan's progress will be issued early next week.

As most of you already know, he sustained a knock to the head in last night's match and while his confused and disorientated reaction may have seemed unusual and somewhat upsetting to us all there watching, medics report that this kind of reaction can often be seen in concussion head inuries. He is today stable in hospital and his condition is improving. He was seen by the consultant this morning and although he is better, he will be kept in hospital for another night for further observation and review by the consultant again tomorrow. Thanks also to everyone at the game last night who all showed great support for Euan and the team - everyone's concern and heartfelt wishes for Euan's speedy recovery are greatly appreciated.
