Colin has been out of action with ligament damage and he told the Daily Record: "It has been a frustrating few months but now is my big chance to establish a regular place and keep it even when the frontliners are back from the Six Nations."
The game will also see a return to action for Donnie Macfadyen, two weeks later than hoped after he added a twisted knee to his catalogue of recent injuries, and possibly too late for him to stake a claim for a place in this season's Six Nations after missing a season and a half with torn ligaments in the other knee and the early part of this season with a groin problem.
"I am not even thinking about it," Donnie said in The Times. "At the moment, the competition is so intense that my first battle is to win back my place in the Glasgow side. I am desperate to play for Scotland again and soon, but I am under no illusions about how tough the competition is, there are so many good back rows around."
