Kevin Tkachuk has re-signed for Glasgow
Three Glasgow Warriors props extended their contracts this week as the squad prepares for the final game of the Magners League season on Saturday.

Samoan World Cup star Justin Va'a and Canadian international Kevin Tkachuk put pen to paper along with one of Scotland’s brightest young talents, 23-year-old Moray Low, who has played every Glasgow game this season.

On all three front-rowers, who weigh a combined 370kgs, Warriors head coach, Sean Lineen, said: “Justin adds a real physicality to our game and is very proud to play for Glasgow.

“Kevin, or T-Bone as he’s known, has been with us for a while now and has become an invaluable member of our squad. He’s a very mobile player and I expect good things from him next season.

“As for Moray, well the world’s his oyster. He’s a fantastic local talent and to be at the age he is and anchor the scrum like he does proves he’s an international player in the making.”

Both Va’a and Low have committed to the club until 2010 whilst Tkachuk has extended his contract by a year.

Looking ahead to the final test of the season against Heineken Cup finalists Munster, Lineen added: “We’ve decided to name a 25-man squad today because of the bumps and bruises in the squad that are typical at this time of the season.

“It’s a big last game for us with plenty to play for, especially the pride within the players, and who better to challenge ourselves against than the European finalists.”

The Glasgow Warriors squad to play Munster in the Magners League at Musgrave Park on Saturday 10 May (kick-off 5pm) is…

Forwards: Justin Va'a, Ed Kalman, Kevin Tkachuk, Moray Low, Dougie Hall, Fergus Thomson, Opeta Palepoi, Dan Turner, Andy Newman, John Beattie, John Barclay, James Eddie, Kelly Brown, Stevie Swindall

Backs: Colin Gregor, Sam Pinder, Dan Parks, Andrew Henderson, Graeme Morrison, Scott Barrow, Max Evans, Thom Evans, Lome Fa'atau, Bernardo Stortoni, Hefin O'Hare

Excellent news! Moray really does have a bright future, but we have missed T-Bone this year since his leg break, which kept him out of RWC. Looking forward to him being back at his best next season!

Great news indeed.
Getting Moray tied up on a longer contract is a great piece of business and he can only keep improving as he gets older.
Keepign players like T-Bone and Justin is just as improtant for the experince they bring, particularly in such a crucial area as the front row.

O Canada!
Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.

With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!

From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
