Glasgow's Richie Vernon went over for two of Scotland's eleven tries
Scotland 'A' ran in eleven tries as they swept aside the challenge of Georgia at Firhill tonight.

On a blustery night Scotland's scores came from Glasgow's Richie Vernon (2), Max Evans, Mark McMillan, Kelly Brown and Andy Henderson (2). Rob Dewey, Simon Webster, Nikki Walker and Scott Newlands all crossed the line for the home side whilst an early penalty from full back Barkalaia was all Georgia had to show for their efforts.

Fly half Gordon Ross grabbed 5 conversions and Glasgow's Colin Gregor landed two.

Kelly Brown capped a fine display with the man-of-the-match award.

Scotland A: Ruaridh Jackson (Glasgow Warriors); Nikki Walker (Ospreys), Max Evans (Glasgow Warriors), Rob Dewey (Ulster), Mark Robertson (Edinburgh); Gordon Ross (Saracens), Mark McMillan (Glasgow Warriors); Ed Kalman (Glasgow Warriors), Phil Fitzgerald (Toulon), Geoff Cross (Edinburgh), Craig Hamilton (Edinburgh), Alastair Kellock (Glasgow Warriors) CAPTAIN, Richie Vernon (Glasgow Warriors), Kelly Brown (Glasgow Warriors), Johnnie Beattie (Glasgow Warriors)

Substitutes: A Kelly (Edinburgh), Gavin Kerr (Edinburgh), Dan Turner (Glasgow Warriors), Scott Newlands (Edinburgh), Colin Gregor (Glasgow Warriors), Andrew Henderson (Glasgow Warriors), Simon Webster (Edinburgh)

I'm a Warriors season ticket holder and was at the game tonight, a good showing from the lads, but I was a bit disappointed with the Glasgow-themed chanting that was going on. We were there to support Scotland, not to alienate fans and players from other clubs On a positive note - well played all the Glasgow boys.

What a good feeling to see so much tries from the Scots!
Ok Georgia was not the same team than the WC one, but the Scots played untill the end and were clinical to finish the breaks by TRIES.
Actually the A team and "1st" team are close, but just a wee "quelque chose" is missing to be at the top.
I think things are changing (not finished yet), for the better with guys like Robinson and Townsend (i was a big fan of him)

We were there last night, thought the A Team looked sharp and hungry. Unlike the main squad they looked less nervy, tougher in the tight, and clinical with the finish.

There were perhaps 10-12 movements where the ball to hand was a joy to see.

I know the 6pm start was awkward for some but couldn’t the SRU have done a bit more to get more bums on seats. – Free entry for Edinburgh/Glasgow ticket holders etc– School kids free etc.

The Glasgow chanting seemed directed more at Frank H rather than anti Edinburgh. The boys did well, Kelly B showed some real pace, JB and big A also played well and wee 'Max Lovin’ deserves a pop at the full squad. Well done to Georgia for sticking it out and I hope FH had his notepad and pen with him.

There will always be fewer nerves at A level than full international. There is less at stake and less pressure. Seriously disappointed ith Georgia who were a looong way from full strength (really Georgia A?) That said a fine performance from Scotland summed up perfectly by Robinson's "relentless" description

Enjoyed watching it, fantastic to see the try-line being crossed (even if it was Georgia) but I would have thought the Jackie Husband would have been fuller that it looked.

The crowd was doing the team chant of the players scoring the tries. There was an outbreak of "Ole, ole, ole, ole, Ospreys, Ospreys" when Walker scored his try.

It's just that Glasgow players were doing most of the scoring.

Yes we were singing each players team song for every try scored. Sadly we were unable to sing for 2 tries. As there is no singing in the LIBRARY, we had no song to sing.
