Richie Vernon is in New Zealand with Scotland Sevens

Scotland beat Niue 24-0 to take the Shield competition in the Wellington Sevens in New Zealand.

Earlier in the day the Scots dropped out of the Bowl after a 22-12 defeat to Australia.

A 14-7 win over Canada secured Scotland's place in the Shield final.
