USA take lead to Canada

Kevin Tkachuk won his 49th cap for Canada
The USA take a six point lead into the second leg of the World Cup qualifier with Canada after a 12-6 win in Charleston, South Carolina

Kevin Tkachuk and DTH van der Merwe were in action for Canada. The return leg will be played in Edmonton next week.

Glasgow prop Justin Va'a was in action for Samoa in the Pacific Nations Cup during June. Wins over Japan and Tonga helped Samoa to third place behind the Junior All Blacks and Fiji.
