Scotland A team

Dougie Hall starts for Scotland A
Four Glasgow Warriors are in the Scotland A team that will take on Ireland Wolfhounds at Ravenhill on Friday night (ko 7.30pm).

Ruaridh Jackson, Jon Welsh and James Eddie start for Sean Lineen's team while Rob Dewey is on the bench.

Sean said: “The players have all bought into what we are trying to achieve and they realise this is a stepping stone towards playing for Scotland in the Six Nations.

“Last year, Scotland A enjoyed a huge amount of success – including the Nations Cup triumph in Romania – and only lost one match in 2009.

“Unfortunately that result was against Ireland A, so we are keen to set the record straight and produce a positive performance in Belfast.

“All of the players involved are pushing for selection in the senior team and there is the right balance in the squad with youth and experience."

I don't think anyone can blame Parks for wanting to get out of Scotland as quick as possible after yet another slap in the face from the SRU.

I agree with the SRU not to play him at A level, everyone knows what he can do. Fair enough to give Blair game time, why play Euan Murray (is he not getting plenty of minutes for Northampton?) Strong looking A team though, the front row would certainly give the full team a good push!!!

I share your feelings .. but Dan is made of sterner stuff than us! AR cannot ignore him and at least I'm glad he will not have to endure the abuse he gets at Murrayfield. Save him for the away games to let him prove himself!

Slap?
DP was contracted by SRU, ok, but you do not leave a country or your CLUB because you're not selected for an international game.
He said, he had a great time in Glasgow.
Best of luck to him in Cardiff, you can be selected for Scotland even if you play your rugby south of the border.
I can't imagine every fly half in France with the test level leaving the country because he is not in the first XV.

I have heard Parks is not in the A team because he is 23rd man for the full squad!!

I hope that none of the front row go down injured before the game then!!!
