Chauncey O'Toole is on trial with Glasgow Warriors
Chauncey O'Toole is returning to Scotland for an extended trial with Glasgow Warriors.

The Canadian flanker trained with Glasgow earlier in the summer and played and scored two tries in the Warriors pre-season win against Dundee HSFP.

Chauncey will be with Glasgow until the end of October.

I love this guy already! We should sign him just for having an awesome name. He should be forced to stand outside Firhill in a 20's style suit and hat, chewing a toothpick and selling watches from under his coat!

I also hear he's a pretty usefull player but who cares about that? lol.

O'Toole was very impressive in the game against Dundee HSFP. He has real pace and was a complete menace at the breakdown where he ruined ball for the opposition all afternoon. He is a Canadian 7's player as well as a full cap international, so may well be a worthy addition to the squad - even if it is in an area where we are already strong. I presume he has been recommended by DTH, who is already proving to be a real find for the club. All goes to show that although we are not in a position to splash out on big names, there are still some good players available within our limited SRU budget.

Interesting comments from Mr Brewer on the planet rugby site. He reckons the best fly half on Friday night was R. Jackson and that the Sale fly halfs should be modelling themselves on him. Though obviously not his kicking at goal!!!!

You are going to love this guy. Chauncey had a dynamite Churchill Cup for Canada is improving all the time. Every level he steps up he just excels. An absolute menace at the break down. Tough as nails and he brings a real gritty edge to the game. Keep signing our Canadian boys, it just gives me more reason to keep cheering for and following my favourite team, the Glasgow Warriors.

Tkachuk, DTH, and now Chauncey. :)
