More injury worries for Glasgow

Kevin Tkachuk has a back injury
Glasgow Warriors have a couple of injury worries ahead of Friday night’s Magners League opener against Leinster at Firhill.

Max Evans suffered a leg knock in the 36-17 defeat to Wasps in the Warriors last friendly before the league kick-off.

And prop Kevin Tkachuk is also causing concern after sustaining a back injury before the Adams Park clash.

Sean Lineen told the Evening Times: “Maxy took a sore one to the leg. We hope he will be fine for Friday, but we will have to wait and see.

Kevin Tkachuk had a back problem prior to kick-off against Wasps and is also a worry. But again we will wait and see how the week unfolds.”

Sean says his Warriors have work to do in teh lead up to Friday' smatch.

“We have work to do on our set-piece and our scrum and I was a bit disappointed about these two areas.

“But the Wasps’ pack had four British Lions in it, so it was always going to be a tough afternoon.

“I thought Tom Ryder was outstanding in his debut for us and Ryan Wilson is a real find.

“It was also great that Jon Welsh and Graeme Morrison got their first run-outs and came through unscathed.

“But now we have the real thing on Friday with Leinster and it can’t come quickly enough for the lads.”

Colin Gregor is an outside bet to make it on to the bench for the Leinster game.

T-Bone is god.

Playing without god is a significant handicap.

He isn't GOD. Well.... I don't think so... Is he?

It is a bit worrying however. The man is teak tough and if he's injured it probably means he's missing an arm or something. Has anyone counted his limbs? Hopefully he's just thrown a shoe and will be back on Friday because it's just not the same with him not there.

Anyone remember a pair of seasons ago when he came lumbering across the pitch with his left arm dragging on the ground?? Ha! You'd have to shoot him through the head to put him down! Legend.

Good luck T-Bone!

think it was againt Leinster in the H-cup back in 2005, from the stand it looked like he tried to run off a dislocated shoulder. The man is a Beast! He is also God.
