Warriors on Scotland A duty

Hefin O'Hare is set for his Scotland A debut
Eleven Glasgow players have been named in Scotland A's match-day 22 to play Ireland Wolfhounds at Netherdale on Friday night (ko 7.30pm).

Johnnie Beattie, the back-row forward who recently returned from a shoulder injury, will start at No.8, with his Firhill team-mate Dougie Hall winning the hooker berth. Moray Low and Rob Harley are on the bench, the latter having received nine stitches to a cut above the eye sustained during Glasgow’s Heineken Cup win over Dragons on Sunday.

Two players, Hefin O'Hare and Ryan Wilson, will make their Scotland A debuts on Friday night. Hefin, the 31-year-old Scotland 7s internationalist, qualifies for Scotland by way of having met the residency criteria set by the IRB, while Ryan, the 21-year-old back-row forward who was named man of the match in Glasgow’s fine Heineken Cup win over London Wasps, qualifies courtesy of his mother having been born in Motherwell.

A third Warrior, Peter Murchie, is also in line for a first Scotland ‘A’ appearance this week, having been named among the replacements.

Good for Hefin, but i don't see the point, there should be young prospect for the A team.
Is this game a week before the 6 Nations means no chance for Welsh, Hall, Harley and Low being selected next week?

Given that Beattie is starting for the A team, I don' t thing anyone's inclusion rules them out for the full international. Having said that, I would think it is unlikely. Although I would hope to see some of them on the bench.

Of interest is that Harley is benched as second row cover, in front of Muldowney, who has far more game time in position.

Hoping for a winning game.

I would think (barring Injuries) only Low and possibly Hall will make the bench for the France game.

I would prefer to see Hall instead of Lawson.
