Glasgow building momentum

Gregor Townsend was pleased with Glasgow's second-half performance
Glasgow coach Gregor Townsend was a happy man after his side's 27-9 win over Ulster at Scotstoun this evening.

After the game a Gregor told glasgowwarriors.org: "We've built up a bit of momentum now and tonight's victory was another important one for the club.

“The key game for us was probably the Leinster game about six weeks ago when we scored three tries over at the RDS. We played some really good rugby that night and almost came away with a win and since then we’ve won every game.

“I thought our attack was probably better last week in Munster but it was great to see the decisions the players were making like the decision of Finn Russell to switch with Mark Bennett for the try.

"We got more into the game in the second-half and it was a really good performance, one of our best 40 minutes of the season."

The Warriors now face Edinburgh in the re-arranged 1872 Cup match and Gregor says his side will be really up for next Saturday's game.

He added: "The Edinburgh game is one we'll all be really motivated for and the pitch is in a much better state now than it was over the Christmas and New Year period.

"We really enjoy playing at Scotstoun in front of big crowds and we know next week is another crucial game for us and one we're all looking forward to."
