Warriors lie second in the PRO12 table and take on third-placed Connacht at Scotsoun tomorrow and the big prop is confident his side can extend their winning run in front of a home crowd.
"I can't wait to be back playing here, especially on a Friday night," Alex told the Evening Times.
"Being new I've only had a couple of games here but I love playing at Scotstoun, it's a great place to play.
"It will also be nice to have a weekend to do things, maybe catch up on a bit of sleep. Down in Wales we've been travelling a lot so it will be good to have some downtime.
"It's a very tight group here. We all pull together and are willing to work really hard for each other. There are a lot of activities off the park and it's a great group. Everyone seems to be enjoying it and I certainly am.
"It does help when you're winning but we're all happy to play for each other. That's what Glasgow is all about."
