Adam Ashe made his first start for Glasgow in Friday's win over Connacht
Adam Ashe says his first start for Glasgow was worth waiting for after the 39-21 PRO12 win over Connacht.

The big forward had previously made only four appearances off the bench until last Friday, but he made the most of his chance playing the full 80 minutes against Connacht.

Speaking in the Evening Times, Adam said: "It's fantastic. I've been here for a couple of years now coming through the academy system. I've watched a lot of the matches from the stand and all you want to do is get out there.

"It great to go out there and get a win. The crowd were amazing again in what was near enough a full house. It's brilliant to play in front of that.

"It was a fantastic win. To get over 30 points against Connacht is tremendous.

"We kind of slipped up defensively a couple of times, which let them in.

"But I thought we attacked really well. A lot of flair, a lot of breakaway tries which was nice to see. First half the scrum was solid and it gave a good platform, it was nice to get few passes off the back there."
