Scotland team to face Tonga

Finn Russell continues at stand-off for Scotland
Eleven Warriors are included in the Scotland squad that will take on Tonga in Saturday's Atutumn Test at Kilmarnock FC's Rugby Park (ko 2.30pm).

There are four changes to the side which narrowly lost to the All Blacks last week with Warriors quartet Adam Ashe, Mark Bennett, Euan Murray and Sean Maitland out through injury, replaced by Johnnie Beattie, Sean Lamont, Geoff Cross and Tim Visser.

Seven Glasgow players will start the game. In the backs, Stuart Hogg, Tommy Seymour, Alex Dunbar and Finn Russell all remain, and in the forwards, Jonny Gray and Robert Harley will link up again with Jonny playing alongside his brother Richie for the third week in a row.

On the bench representing the Warriors will be Fraser Brown, Ryan Grant, Duncan Weir and Gordon Reid.

Ahead of the match, Scotland head coach Vern Cotter said: "We came very close to the best side in the world last Saturday, which left us very disappointed but, when you look at the content of our performance and what the players did on the paddock, it’d be hard for any coach to be too unhappy.

"The work rate, desire and determination of the squad on the field was excellent.

"The players take a lot of pride from playing for Scotland and really enjoy pulling on the shirt, and I can see that enthusiasm in training and in the games we play.

"We will have to be on top of our game and continue our trajectory of improvements if we are to secure the win this Saturday."
