Glasgow team to face Montpellier

Jon Welsh returns to Glasgow's starting XV
Gregor Townsend has named his Glasgow team for Sunday's European Rugby Champions Cup clash with Montpellier at Scotstoun (ko 1.00pm).

There are a few changes from last weekend's PRO12 win over Scarlets.

DTH van der Merwe replaces the injured Sean Lamont and starts on the left wing, withTommy Seymour switching to the opposite side.

The other changes are in the front-row, with props Ryan Grant and Jon Welsh coming in for Jerry Yanuyanutawa and Michael Cusack, who are named amongst the replacements.

That means Peter Murchie is retained at full-back and Alex Dunbar and Peter Horne continue their centre partnership, while Finn Russell and Nikola Matawalu is the half-back pairing.

Pat MacArthur is at hooker with Tim Swinson and Jonny Gray continuing in the engine room.

There are no changes in the back-row, with Leone Nakarawa on the blindside, Ryan Wilson at openside and No. 8 Josh Strauss once again captaining the team.

Included on the bench is Mark Bennett, who returns after a nine-week spell on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.

Scrum-half Henry Pyrgos is on the bench after overcoming injury and could feature for the first time since the win over Edinburgh Rugby at the end of December.

Glasgow Warriors head coach Gregor Townsend said: "Montpellier are a dangerous side as they come to Scotstoun with nothing to lose and the players have an opportunity to impress their new coach. They are a team who like to offload and have a lot of quality throughout their squad.

"It's great to have Henry (Pyrgos) and Mark (Bennett) back. Henry has missed the last couple of games through injury and Mark has been out for nine weeks, but he's been training well for the last couple of weeks and had half an hour of rugby against Scotland under-20s on Tuesday.

"We're still in the tournament ahead of Round 5 and we'll be doing all we can to remain in contention to qualify for the quarter-finals come Round 6."
