Glasgow Hawks' flanker, and Warriors' EDP Tommy Spinks is in Scotland's Club International squad
On Friday the 6th of February, Old Anniesland in Glasgow’s West End will host International rugby when the Scottish Club International side play their Irish counterparts.

This is only the second time this fixture has come to the ground which is the home of GHK Rugby Club and Glasgow Hawks.

In the fixture last year Scotland lost to France in a battling performance and it is hoped that supporters from across Glasgow will come along to back the boys in blue.

To spread the benefit and hopefully increase the crowd, GHK and Glasgow Hawks have offered clubs the in the west of Scotland the opportunity to profit from any tickets they sell. Clubs will be able to retain 50% of the proceeds for their own club funds.

In this way it is hoped that a number of clubs will benefit from the appearance of the International side which showcases the best of the club game, here in Glasgow.

Glenn Woolard, GHK President, said, “We hope that this can be a tremendous occasion for Club rugby in Scotland, and particularly for the west of Scotland. We recognise that playing for your country is a tremendous honour for the players and we hope we can give the players a large, supportive and vocal crowd to show how much we appreciate what they put into the game.”

Stevie Winter, Glasgow Hawks’ Vice-President, added, “We’re very excited to be hosting this fixture for the second time and want make it a successful event for the supporters. The pride in hosting the fixture is strengthened knowing that two of our players, prop, Steven Findlay and back row, Tommy Spinks are in the squad for the match. Everyone at the club wishes them well and at Steven’s former club, Dalziel, they are just as proud of his achievements.”

Catering will be available on the night, as well as a bar in the Club Pavilion.
