The big forward has been out for the last three months following a neck injury but was back in action with Glasgow in Cork.
"I'm a bit sore from the weekend but I'm in a good place," he said in today's Evening Times.
"It's not a familiar feeling to be stiff and sore. It's good to be back out there and be back at work.
"I had a neck injury which was assessed pretty closely and it needed a bit longer to heal.
"It can be frustrating. I had a couple of setbacks within the space of a couple of weeks. But that's part of the job. These things happen and you have to get on with it.
"The game in Cork was an interesting one to play in. It was one of the fastest games I've ever played in so my lungs were gone. It took me about 30 minutes to get my second wind.
"I enjoyed being back out there, though. It's just a shame we couldn't get the result, although personally I got a lot out of it."
Adam should see some more action on Friday when Glasgow take on Zebre at Scotsoun.
He said: "This weekend should be a big game and I'm looking forward to being back at Scotstoun in front of the home fans. It's been a while.
"We need to win and hopefully put in a good performance both personally and for the team."
