The Warriors have agreed to release Rossouw de Klerk due to personal reasons
The Glasgow Warriors squad have completed their fifth week of pre-season training and a number of players have now joined the group as preparations continue ahead of the new season.

Australian centre Sam Johnson, Italian international back-rower Simone Favaro and former Newcastle Falcons stand-off Rory Clegg have all arrived in Glasgow.

Favaro and Clegg have commenced training, however Johnson is currently undergoing a period of rehab following a shoulder injury sustained at the end of the Super Rugby season and he'll miss the start of the new campaign.

Gregor Hunter has had surgery on an issue related to his previous knee surgery and it's anticipated that he'll miss the start of the season.

Scotland 7s wingers Nyle Godsmark and Mark Robertson are training with the squad to provide cover during the Rugby World Cup.

Tim Swinson is progressing well from an ankle injury and is on target to return at the start of the season, while Alex Allan is also making good progress and is back doing non-contact training.

The Warriors players who were away with the Scotland Under-20 squad for the World Rugby U20 Championship in Italy at the end of last season have been back training for three weeks, while a number of players are still away with their respective international squads.

Leone Nakarawa is with Fiji and Greg Peterson is in the USA Eagles squad, with both countries competing in the Pacific Nations Cup. Fiji will play Samoa in the final on Monday.

New signing Taqele Naiyaravoro is part of the Australia squad which is competing in The Rugby Championship and there are 22 players in the Scotland squad, preparing for the Summer Tests.

The Warriors have also agreed to release Rossouw de Klerk due to personal reasons.

The 25-year-old South African prop made 15 appearances for the GUINNESS PRO12 champions last season.

Finally, Jerry Yanuyanutawa returned to training today after his wife Emma gave birth to a baby boy earlier this week and everyone at the club wishes them well.
