Glasgow team to take on Northampton

Mike Blair will make his 50th appearance in Europe
Glasgow head coach Gregor Townsend has named his team to take on Northampton at Scotstoun tomorrow.

It's the same 23-man squad for which was due to take to the field against Racing 92 last Saturday.

The Warriors European Rugby Champions Cup opener at the Stade Yves-Du-Manoir was postponed, following the tragic events in Paris last weekend, so it’ll be Glasgow’s first outing in Europe this season.

The match at Scotstoun is a complete sell-out with a capacity crowd of 6,800 expected.

Glasgow Warriors head coach Gregor Townsend said: “We’re really looking forward to kicking off our European campaign against Northampton Saints tomorrow evening.

“Northampton were impressive in their win away to the Scarlets last weekend and will be travelling with confidence, but we're excited about playing at home in front of a capacity crowd, who will help create another big European night at Scotstoun.

"We've had continuity with the team selection this week and it'll be good test against one of the top teams in England.”

There are no further tickets available for the match at Scotstoun tomorrow and supporters can watch the game at Grosvenor Café on Ashton Lane.
