The Glasgow stand-off has been in great form since returning from the head injury that kept him out of Scotland's final Six Nations game. Against Scarlets Finn scored twice - including a perfectly executed chip and chase - as Gregor Townsend's side racked up seven tries at the Parc y Scarlets for an eighth consecutive win.
Glasgow are homing in on a top-four place, but the Stirling-born playmaker is adamant that they should accept nothing less than a home semi-final.
Victory over Zebre in a fortnight's time, coupled with a win over Connacht on the final day of the season, would catapult them into the top two.
And with a lay weekend ahead in the Guinness PRO12 for European semi-finals, Finn is taking the opportunity for much needed rest and recuperation.
"Home semi-final is the target. It's eight wins in a row so it's great to have that performance building into the next couple of games and hopefully the semi-final and final," he said.
"We are peaking at the right time, we are getting our form back from last season and the momentum is building.
"We have a week off next week. I'm going to try and get away to Majorca and get my feet up for a bit, relax and then come back for the Zebre game, which will be tough, and build from that to Connacht away to try and get a home semi-final.
"The start we got out to (against Scarlets) was brilliant for us. We focused all week on getting a quick start out of the blocks like that," he said.
"We knew there was a bit of space in behind their defence, I had a good chat with the boys outside, they let me know it was on and it was well executed I guess.
"I didn't know if I was going to get it on the full or let it bounce but I just went for a dive. It was pleasing."
