Glasgow Warriors have unveiled a brand-new home and alternate playing kit
Glasgow Warriors have unveiled a brand-new home and alternate playing kit ahead of the 2020/21 season, as the club prepares to kick-off the new campaign this weekend.

Danny Wilson's squad will take to the field in a Macron-produced playing shirt for the eighth successive season, with Saturday's trip to Connacht the first opportunity for fans to see their side in action in the new kit.

The club's official tartan makes a return to the home shirt following a season's absence, with the blue, black and white design incorporated as the trim on the sleeves and waistline of the all-black jersey.

Black shorts are also complemented with tartan trim in the 2020/21 home kit, alongside black socks with two sky blue bands in a simple yet eye-catching design.

Glasgow will also look sharp on their travels this season, as a 'glitch effect' design offsets a white shirt with sky blue trim.

The club also returns to sky blue shorts in partnership with the white shirt for the first time since the 2018/19 season, with white socks and sky blue trim completing a sleek away kit.

The logo of the club's Official Community Partner SP Energy Networks will be prominent on the front of both jerseys alongside the emblems of Glasgow Warriors and Macron, whilst the club's official values will adorn the rear of both playing shirts.

Speaking to glasgowwarriors.org, tight-head prop Zander Fagerson said: "The boys love the design of both kits.

"The addition of our key mantras on the back of both shirts is an especially nice touch, and both of [the shirts] look really sharp. We can't wait to have the opportunity to wear both jerseys.

"After the challenging 2019/20 season, there's a real buzz about the place as we get ready to start the new campaign. We can't wait to get started."

Supporters will be able to get their hands on the new shirts for the first time from the new Scottish Rugby Store in Glasgow city centre, which will open its doors for the first time this Friday. Both kits will be available for purchase, as well as from shop.scottishrugby.org
