Scott Lawson has inherited the Glasgow hooker shirt from Gordon Bulloch, and is aiming to do the same with the Scotland no. 2 shirt. He is in his third season as a professional with Glasgow Warriors, and is a firm favourite with the supporters.

An exciting young hooker from Biggar, Scott had already provided emergency cover for Glasgow before joining up at the start of the 2003-2004 season from Melrose. He enjoyed another excellent season at Glasgow the following year, winning the Player of the Year Award sponsored by Maclay Murray and Spens.

A former pupil of Biggar High School, Scott has represented Scotland at U18, U19 and U21 level, and is now trying to establish himself in the national side, having played during this season's Autumn Internationals, the 6N tournament and SA tour. He won his first cap, and scored his first international try against Romania last June.

Seems to be really fitting into professional set-up and gaining confidence with every game!

He has a lot of work to do to get past bulloch in the scotland setup but he is a more than worthy replacement when gordon is away on int. duty

Gordon Bulloch has looked good in the loose in the last couple of games, but the lineout is still a worry. I think it's time to give Scott a run to see if he can hit his jumpers with a bit more regularity.

what? gordon hardly ever misses his jumpers. don't you watch the match? Scott is good no doubt about it but gordon is the best hooker in britain thanks to the retirement of Wood.

Have you been watching any games this season? Our lineout is a shambles. Not saying it's exclusively Gordon's fault but I think it's time to give Scott a run to see if he can help secure some possession from the touchline.
