Andy suffered a leg break against Llanelli in October last year, but was able to return to fitness by the end of the season, travelling with Scotland A to play in the Churchill Cup and take part in the victory over England Saxons.

Andrew William Wilson, a product of Ellon RFC and Ellon Academy, has represented Scotland at under-19 and under-21 levels.

Andy was part of the squad who won against England in the FIRA World Junior Championship in 1999, and he made his Scotland under-21 debut against Wales a year later. In June 2000 he was in Scotland's under-21 squad who travelled to New Zealand to contest the SANZAR tournament.

He has won Scotland Sevens honours, and was selected for Scottish Students and made an outstanding contribution to their victory over their Welsh counterparts in Neath in April 2002. He joined Glasgow Rugby in 2002.

Andy received his degree of Master of Engineering (MEng) in Mechanical Engineering from The Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen in December 2009.
