Cameron Blades, who joined Glasgow Rugby from the New South Wales Waratahs for season 2001-2002, made his international debut for Australia against England in 1997.
More recently, he played for Australia A in the 28-25 victory against the British & Irish Lions in June 2001. His value to the Glasgow squad is not only as a prop, but he has also brought his experience as the Waratahs’ scrummaging coach.
He has now played 22 games for Glasgow, scoring a try against Caerphilly at Hughenden in October 2001, but a shoulder injury in that match kept him out of rugby for five months.
International record – 1 Test for Australia (v England 1997).
