A teacher by profession, Eric was called into Glasgow's 36-strong squad for last season's Heineken Cup. He signed as a full-time pro for Glasgow in January 2006 and has renewed his contract with the club.
On his re-signing, Sean said: “Eric is a Glasgow lad through and through and this is recognition for his enthusiasm this season. He’s up to the right level now and will add to the competition in the front row with his dedication and hard work."
He had previously featured as front-row cover in Warriors’ squad for both the Celtic League and Heineken Cup and was captain Glasgow Hawks’ title-winning team in 2004, 2005 and 2006. He played for Kilmarnock and Currie before joining Hawks, and his representative honours included being in the Scotland under-19 squad in the FIRA world junior championship in France in 1999 as well as playing for Scotland under-21, Scottish Schools, and Glasgow Schools.
