Peter said: "I've always wanted to be a professional rugby player since I was a kid so to finally be offered a contract is a fantastic feeling.
"I've got my foot in the door now so the ball is in my court to make things happen. I’m eager to repay the faith in me shown by Sean and the coaching staff. The real hard work starts now."
"Peter has real potential," said Glasgow coach Sean Lineen. "From the moment he played in his first back-up game last year I spotted real talent and a high level of confidence and ability.
"Peter has a real desire and focus and has a totally professional attitude which is something I find refreshing in one so young.
Peter was in a group of Fife youngsters who achieved a rare double, playing in the Bell Baxter High School team who won the Bell Lawrie Scottish Schools Cup and then in the Howe of Fife squad who lifted the Scottish Youth League Cup.
He moved from Howe of Fife to West of Scotland for season 2008-2009.
Outwith rugby he won the East and West of Scotland under-16 tennis doubles championships with Jonny McNab. Peter’s father, Garry, coaches the Howe of Fife first XV.
He was a member of Scottish Rugby's Contracted National Academy, and represented Scotland at U18, U19 and U20 level
