He played 41 Air New Zealand Cup games for Taranaki in New Zealand where he played club rugby with New Plymouth Old Boys.
Hamish has also played for Saracens and Launceston - the Cornish All Blacks.
Although a Kiwi by birth, Hamish qualifies for Scotland due to his father John, who was born in Peterhead.
