He attended King's Park Secondary School in Glasgow's south side and is a product of GHA Rugby Club. He he has been playing for Stirling County in the BT Premiership.
The winger made his Scotland 7s debut at the London 7s in May 2012, in the pool game against South Africa.
At the fifteen-a-side game he has represented Scotland at under-17 and under-18 level.
He was part of the Glasgow squad which won the Melrose 7s in 2014 and 2015. He was the club's top try scorer on both occasions.
Rory said: "I've really enjoyed my first year as a professional and I'm happy to be staying at the club.
"I want to continue to make a contribution and get as much game time as possible next season.
