He was formerly a Scottish Rugby Elite Development player, aligned to Glasgow Warriors.
He was part of the Scotland 7s squad in season 2011/12 and rejoined the squad at Scotstoun to train full time in season 2012/13.
Equally comfortable in any of the back-row positions, Adam attended Alva Academy and has played club rugby for Hillfoots and Stirling County. He played every game for Scotland U20 in the RBS 6 Nations in 2013 and was awarded Man of the Match for a barnstorming performance against Ireland at Netherdale in the championship.
He has represented Scotland at under-17 and under-18 level, and likes golfing, skiing and playing the drums in his spare time.
Adam made his Scotland debut in the final game of the 2014 summer tour, against South Africa in Port Elizabeth.
