The winger won his first Scotland 7s cap on the HSBC Sevens World Series in the 2014 Gold Coast 7s.
This followed five Rugby Europe caps. Training with the abbreviated national team for much of the 2013/14 season Godsmark's hard work was rewarded when he was named captain of the Scottish Thistles on the 2014 GB7s circuit.
Before signing a one-year deal with Scotland 7s, Godsmark played his club rugby with BT Premiership side, Edinburgh Accies alongside twin brother, Ryan. He also has a black belt in karate.
