The man from Carluke was selected for the 2018 Sevens World Cup in San Francisco, where he helped the team to a seventh place finish in the final standings.
Lowe is something of a sporting polymath; he helped East Ayrshire to the 2010 Scottish Schools Football Cup title, whilst he was also the 2009 U14 Scottish Schools badminton doubles.
