Hefin O'Hare has been the Glasgow Warriors Supporters Club sponsored player for the 2007/2008 and 2008/2009 seasons.

We caught up with him to find out about his planned charity cycle from John O'Groats to Lands End and put some questions to him from Supporters Club members. Here's what he had to say...

How long have you been thinking of doing a Charity Cycle and what prompted you do it?
I have been wanting to take on a serious challenge since I was made responsible for organising and raising money for charitable events, on behalf of Glasgow Warriors at the start of the year.

When are you planning to do the cycle?
I am planning to do the cycle in the third or fourth week of June.

What charity are you doing it for and have you set a fundraising target?
The charity that I am raising money for is York Hill Children, but I am still open to more suggestion!

Who are you doing the cycle with?
At the moment no one is confirmed, but there could be an unlikely candidate taking some sort of part!!

How can the supporters get involved?
Basically I will be trying to raise as much money as possible from the event, so I will be bring along sponsorship forms to the last game of the year Connacht, and in the mean time I am trying to set up a web site where it is possible to sponsor me. Then looking for the supporters club to pass the web site address around as much as possible even put in on the rugby site.

What is your most memorable moment playing in a Glasgow shirt and why?
Scoring 3 tries in the Heineken Cup.

What's your rugby ambition?
To continue playing at the highest standard for as long as possible.

Are you Scotland qualified yet?
I am qualified for Scotland and have just been called into the sevens squad for the London and Edinburgh 7’s so finger crossed it goes well

Who do you think will win the next World Cup in 2011?
Not too sure at the moment but I hope it will be a Northern Hemisphere team this time around.

What do you enjoy most about living in Glasgow?
I love getting out and about in the country side around Scotland it was one of the main reason i moved to Scotland.

What do you like to do when you have a day off from training?
I’m studying Building Surveying at Caledonian Uni at the moment, so I don’t get to much free time, but i like to keep busy, it keeps me out of trouble!

One of Scotland’s “delicacies” is a deep fried Mars Bar, have you ever tried one?
No I haven’t tried one, but Andrew Newman used to say they were nice!

Hefin has now set up a justgiving fundraising page... please give generously!
