Dan Parks’ performances for Glasgow in the December matches were outstanding. He not only managed to become the first player ever to reach over 1000 league points but also played a big part in engineering Glasgow’s victory in the home leg of the 1872 Cup against Edinburgh.
Glasgow Supporters felt that Warriors Number 8 Ritchie Vernon’s try against Edinburgh in the 1872 Cup at Firhill was the worthy winner. Ritchie broke away from a scrum on the 22 and breaking many tackles outstripped the Edinburgh defence with his searing pace to score. Ritchie’s performance in that match earned him the Magner’s League Man of the Match award.
Glasgow Warriors Supporters Club Chairwoman Carolyn Armstrong Stated “Dan’s Player of the month award really reflects how outstandingly well he has been playing for Glasgow making him the well deserved winner. Ritchie’s try of the month award highlights his outstanding performances for Glasgow and his award for his well taken try highlights this”
With the Warriors on a winning streak at the start of the New Year the supporters will have some tough decisions to make for next month!
