According to Kevin Ferrie in The Herald, David Jordan was unable to confirm that Beardshaw would be joining Glasgow, but he admitted that he is confident that the Glasgow squad will be finalised by next week when pre-season training commences.
Beardshaw has been with Wasps since 1996, but has failed to gain a regular starting place due to injury and, with English clubs tightening the purse strings, he was among seven players released by Warren Gatland, their director of rugby towards the end of the season.
To avoid using too many club players, Glasgow have signed three players on short-term training contracts: Melrose hooker, Scott Lawson, Stirling County scrum-half Mark McMillan and Gareth McClure, a utility back released by Newcastle. Lawson has already appeared in a number of fixtures for Glasgow as back-up to Gordon Bulloch. Mark McMillan is currently with the Scotland Under 21 team at their World Cup in England. he's playing alongside another Warriors signing, Graeme Morrison of Glasgow Hawks.
Matt Proudfoot is also expected to join Glasgow before the new season gets underway.
