"The numbers on people's backs don't particularly concern me," said Williams. "Andy's perhaps our best defender. I believe he has had some minimal experience on the wing but that's not something I was concerned about.
"Coming in as an outsider, I think Andy will develop into an outside back. He's got much more pace and power than people give him credit for, and is very strong in the air. I feel he's better suited with a bit more time with the ball in his hand, where at No.12 he's got very little time. He needs that little bit more space, but I've been very impressed with his attitude and he's developed physically very, very well over the past eight or nine months."
