Cammy Mather may return to Watsonians colours next season
Cammy Mather has been forced to call a halt to his professional career with Glasgow earlier than planned.

Cammy will undergo shoulder surgery and won't be able to return to action before the end of the season, when his contract expires.

"It is a huge disappointment," said Cammy in today's Scotsman. "Glasgow have some massive matches coming up and I really wanted to be involved." Cammy is exploring the possibility of re-joining Watsonians as player-coach next season, but his prospects will hinge on the Myreside men avoiding relegation from the top flight of the Premiership.

Glasgow hope to announce more contract news later this week.

Odd ambition to go to Sonians...but hey each to there own. Good luck Cammy, your performances in the short time you were here were immense.

Yeah good luck to Cammy. Shame about the injury would have been happy to have seen him play on for the rest of the season Great pro.

Anyone else see a gulf in our backrow opening up? Place for Forrest maybe?
