Colin Shaw's five tries as Hawks clinched their second successive BT Premiership
Glasgow Hawks secured their second successive BT Premiership crown with a devastating 80-19 win at Hawick.

Glasgow-bound Colin Shaw was the destroyer-in-chief, with a hat-trick before the break and taking his try haul to five.

Murray Strang (2), Mike Adamson (2), Richie Maxton, Steven Duffy and Kenny Sinclair also ran in scores for the classy champions.

Strang converted all but two of the 12 tries, while Cammy Bruce, Keith Hedley and Ross Armstrong scored for Hawick.

The Hawks still have three games remaining but cannot be caught by second-placed Heriot's.

Congratulations to Hawks from all at glasgowwarriors.com

Second that. Good to see they have got one over Heriots!

As a side note while researching for a movie response to Phall's monolouge I came across this.

"All my life I always wanted to fly. I always wanted to live like a hawk. I know you're not supposed to be jealous of anything, but to take flight...to soar above everything and everyone...now that's living. But a hawk is no good around normal birds. It can't fit in. Even though all the other birds probably want to be hawks, they hate them for what they can't be. Proud. Powerful. Determined. ...Dark. Odin is a hawk. He soars above us. He can fly. One of these days...everyone's going to pay attention to me. Because I'm gonna fly too."

Josh Harnett from the film 'O'

Thought it was apt.

More appropriate on the grave of Eric Liddell one of Scotland's greatest sportsmen"they soar on wings like Hawks they run and grow not weary"

They that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint". Isa40:31

i am just sorry i wasn't able to go down. If there is one thing better than a Hawks win, it is a Hawks win in the Borders and one thing better than that it is a wain in the fortress of darkness...Mansfield Park.
