Award for James Eddie

James Eddie is Scotland's outstanding young player of the year
Warriors lock James Eddie has been awarded the William Purves Quaich as Outstanding Scottish Young Player of the Year.

The award, presented by Friends of Scottish Rugby at the Caledonia Club in London, reflects the hard work James has put in throughout the season, not only with the Warriors but also with the Scotland Under 21 team.

He said: "I'm really pleased to be selected for this award. It has been a long and hard season but to gain recognition like this is just great, especially since I've been getting more starts for Glasgow recently so I feel that my rugby’s really coming together now."

Previous Glasgow Warriors recipients of the award include Stuart Corsar, Andrew Wilson and Donnie Macfadyen. James was this week named in the Scotland squad for the IRB U21 World Championship in France alongside fellow Glasgow players John Barclay, John Beattie and Iain Kennedy.
