The Warriors were narrowly beaten by Saracens at Vicarage Road in their opening game on Sunday, and Al wants Glasgow to get their campaign back on track.
He told the Evening Times: "It was bitterly, bitterly disappointing not to win Sunday's match, but we have to be encouraged by many aspects of our play, particularly our handling.
He went on: "I feel, having joined Glasgow from Edinburgh in the summer, I am starting to find my feet now and good things are going to happen. The same is true for a number of the guys.
"We are becoming more familiar with how the team and each other play. Hopefully we can click tomorrow because to win any home game is vital and especially in Europe.
"Parma lost very narrowly at home to Narbonne in their first Challenge Cup game so this is a make-or-break game for both teams."
